Gambia belongs to the 10 poorest countries in the world. Young adults have no prospects in the country because there is not work and their education is very poor. So it is still (despite the fact that Gambia is no longer subject to a dictatorship since January 2017) nor a solution for many young Gambians to leave the country, hoping to build a future abroad - mostly in Europe. But this is no solution for anybody!
That’s why we decided to contribute to invest in the education in the Gambia itself and donate 2% of our turnover from the e-shop (minus VAT) for education for young adults in the Gambia.
