The Gluggle Jug by WADE Ceramics has been produced in England for more than 150 years! It is still produced sustainably in England today. Unlike its copies, the Gluckigluck gurgles and may be used for drinking. Only the original has its name stamped under the base - that's how you can double check!

Once filled with water, the XL jug cannot be lifted by younger enthusiasts alone. It has a large belly, gurgles longer and deep. If it is used at the dinner table, there is no need to constantly refill it because it holds more liquid per se.

Gurgling water jugs were invented by the British company Thomas Forester & Sons in the late 1870s. But most people associate these jugs with the British "Dartmouth Pottery", which gave the jug its fish-shaped design for the first time.

A special pair of water jugs was created for the Queen of England and Prince Philip in 1958 and given to them during their visit to Britannia Naval College. The then head of the college commissioned the production of the jugs and provided them with the royal seal and date. This gift made the water jug more popular and became a collector's item.

Since then, the jugs have been sold in the USA and England, and recently also in German-speaking countries (first only Germany, Austria and Switzerland) under the name Gluckigluck.
