Any material marked with a * may vary slightly in appearance as they are natural materials. Natural leather will darken and develop a beautiful patina overtime.
Eldvarm takes great care to ensure that their materials are as natural as possible, with low impact on the environment. They have also taken into consideration how the environment will impact them.
Wood
Our products are made with untreated wood that come from sustainably managed forests in Europe (beech) or North America (walnut). We love the natural beauty of the wood and how it ages naturally with use, producing a beautiful patina over time.
Metal
(Main Body Parts)
Our metal is powder coated, and the coating we use is free of harmful substances for minimum environmental impact.
(Details)
All metal screws and small details are made of brass, both for the elegance they add to the products, and as a nod to traditional brass fireplace accessories, which were often made of solid brass.
Leather
All the leather is from the Swedish tannery Tärnsjö, established in 1873 and considered to be one of Europe’s finest producers of vegetable tanned leather, and is the only certified organic tannery in the world. The leather we use for our products is greased for better protection, but it will darken over time and obtain that much wanted patina of used leather.
Brush
The bristles on our brushes are unique blend of horse hair, the traditional material for fireplace accessories, and tampico from the agave cactus. Together they make sure that the brush not only looks good but lasts over time.. The brushes are produced on traditional machines at the Brosserie Julio, a family business that has been making brushes in Nantes, France, since 1947.
For Eldvarm, the selection of materials and the quality of craft means everything. They work with ethically sourced, natural materials of the highest quality. Eldvarm's products are crafted by highly skilled professionals in a number of carefully selected production facilities in Europe that share their values of ethics, honesty, sustainability and supreme craftsmanship.
